Spot trading in Shanghai copper market is quiet today as SHFE copper rose, SMM said.

SHANGHAI, Sept. 11 (SMM) - Spot trading in Shanghai copper market is quiet today as SHFE copper rose, SMM said.

Trading was relatively brisk when SHFE copper was below 51,000 yuan per tonne, but weakened as SHFE copper advanced.

Copper Inventories Grow in Shanghai Bonded Zone, SMM Reports

Cargo holders lowered spot premiums to 40-50 yuan per tonne to push trading, but to little avail.

Metals Prices Plunge across the Board on Strong Market Panic

Spot premiums were 10-50 yuan per tonne over SHFE front-month copper today, SMM reports.
