Higher Sea Freight Charges Send up Nickel Ore Price

Sea freight charges from the Philippines to domestic ports rose by $ 1.5 per wet tonne, Shanghai Metals Market learns. 

SHANGHAI, Sept. 7 (SMM) – Sea freight charges from the Philippines to domestic ports rose by $ 1.5 per wet tonne, Shanghai Metals Market learns. 

Philippine Nickel Ore Exports Stay High in August 

On Thursday, CIF price for nickel ore grew by about $ 1 per wet tonne following the rise in the charges. Some traders did not hike the offers significantly as ships were rented previously.
