SHANGHAI, Aug. 25 (SMM) – Silicon prices rose slightly on Friday, and silicon plants made firm offers in response to supply shortage. #553 silicon at Port of Huangpu traded at 14,200 yuan per tonne, with few lower prices heard for regular customers, and this at Port of Tianjin traded at 15,000 yuan per tonne.
Silicon price growth slowed down after days’ surging. Buyers and sellers are stalemated, as sellers held firm offers with optimistic outlook, but this generated low response from buyers.
