Silicon Price Keeps Rising, and the growth to Slow down amid Falling Purchases, SMM Forecasts

Some participants predict price growth of metallurgical-grade silicon to slow down, as buyers in face of high inventory will reduce purchases with nearing of delivery data at the end of month.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 22 (SMM) – Silicon prices kept rising on Tuesday, and #553 silicon was offered at around 13,500 yuan per tonne, SMM reports. 

Offers diverged based on regions with those outshining in Yunnan and Sichuan. Traders still made firm offers on Monday, despite of poor transaction.
