CISA: China Steel Sector to Focus on M&As

SHANGHAI, Aug. 25 (SMM) – The top 10 steel producers take up about 30% of China’s total steel production, said Wang Yingsheng, Deputy Secretary General of China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).

Chinese Regulators Likely to Take further Action to Cool Ferrous Metals Fever

As for upstream industry, the top 10 iron mines account for over 80% of China’s total iron ore production. As for downstream industry, the top 10 car makers account for 88% of China’s total car capacity. 

CISA: Surging Steel Prices to Push Up Steel Costs

As such, M&As and restructuring will become a focus in steel sector.
