China Copper Ore Imports Drop MoM in July, and Chile Retakes Top Supplier

China imported 1,396,466 tonnes of copper ores and concentrates in July, up 2.78 per cent on a yearly basis, but down slightly from June’s, according to China Customs.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 24 (SMM) – China imported 1,396,466 tonnes of copper ores and concentrates in July, up 2.78 per cent on a yearly basis, but down slightly from June’s, according to China Customs. 

COMEX Copper Inventories (2017-8-23)

Imports from Peru and Chile were both down on a yearly basis in July, and Chile retook the top supplier.
