SHANGHAI, Aug. 22 (SMM) – One low-grade NPI producer in Shandong sold 5,000 tonnes of low-grade NPI Aug. 21 at 3,500 yuan per tonne, Shanghai Metals Market learns. Goods will be delivered 15 days later.

Low-grade NPI price has been advancing recently along with rising coke price and high production enthusiasm at #200 stainless steel mills, SMM concludes.

Nickel Spot Supply Tightens in China, SMM Learns

The producer is now running smoothly and suffers no impact from environmental protection inspections thanks to environment-friendly units. Its monthly output stays at around 40,000 tonnes or 660 tonnes (Ni content).
