SHANGHAI, Aug. 21 (SMM) – Some traders will transfer goods from Guangdong to Shanghai for arbitrage, SMM understands.

Large Zinc Price Spread Precipitates Goods Transfer from Guangdong to Shanghai, SMM Reports

Zinc prices in Shanghai were 150-250 yuan per tonne above Guangdong prices as of August 18, which topped freight charges between the two regions.

Freight charge from Guangdong to Shanghai is 350-380 yuan per tonne by vehicle and 120-150 yuan per tonne by vessel.

CNMC Signs MOU with Australia Zinc Explorer on Lead-Zinc Mine Project

Shipments transferred are estimated to be 4,000-5,000 tonnes, with 7-10 days of delivery.
