SHANGHAI, Aug. 18 (SMM) – On Friday, SHFE 1710 copper opened at RMB 50,750/mt and then dropped to RMB 50,620/mt. The contract later rallied to RMB 50,700/mt. During the afternoon trading, SHFE 1710 copper advanced to RMB 51,120/mt and fell back slightly at the tail of trading. The contract ended at RMB 51,060/mt, down RMB 190/mt. Positions reduced 10,916 to 224,000 and trading volumes fell 166,000 to 259,000 lots. Positions of all SHFE copper contracts were down 6,622 to 707,000 and trading volumes were down 224,000 to 428,000 lots.
SHFE 1710 copper will rise on Friday’s night trading.
