SMM Aluminum Purchasing Advise (2017-8-17)

In the short run, aluminum price will be sensitive to price movements in other base metals markets.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 17 (SMM) – SHFE aluminum advanced along with upward-limit trading on the SHFE zinc. Aluminum price in China’s domestic spot market is expected to rise by more than 300 yuan per tonne on Thursday, and small volume purchases at lows are advised for week-end’s production needs.

In the short run, aluminum price will be sensitive to price movements in other base metals markets.

SMM expects aluminum to hover at highs in the short term, and eyes should be on its support at the 5-day moving average.
