Trading volumes on SHFE 1708 nickel were 0, and positions were 108 lots, with deliveries totaling 54 mt and settlement price of RMB 86,000/mt. SHFE 1801 nickel opened at RMB 84,950/mt today and then edged up. In the afternoon, SHFE 1801 nickel reached RMB 85,720/mt, and closed at RMB 85,410/mt, down RMB 1,220/mt or 1.41%. Trading volumes on SHFE 1801 nickel increased 67,600 to 502,000, and positions increased 1,492 to 447,000. SHFE 1801 nickel will fluctuate weakly this evening. New York Fed’s manufacturing index will be released this evening.
