Scrap Gold, Silver and Platinum prices surged on Index on 11th August, 2017

The daily scrap gold prices - hallmarked and non- hallmarked went higher on Friday, 11th August, 2017 on the ScrapMonster Price Index.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The daily scrap gold prices - hallmarked and non- hallmarked went higher on Friday, 11th August, 2017 on the ScrapMonster Price Index. The prices of scrap silver and Platinum too climbed higher on Index.

In the Hallmarked category, the 14 carat gold scrap prices were up by $ 5.33 per Oz. The prices of 18 carat and 22 carat gold scrap went higher by $ 6.83 and $ 8.36 per Oz respectively.9 carat gold scrap also edged higher by $ 3.41 per Oz. The price of Platinum scrap witnessed a jump of $ 2.19 per Oz to reach $ 716.00 per Oz. Silver scrap prices edged higher by $0.41 per Lb to $14.06 per Oz.

In the Non-Hallmarked category, the 14 carat gold scrap prices went higher by $ 5.04 per Oz. The prices of 18 carat and 22 carat gold scrap too went up by $ 6.47 and $ 7.90 per Oz respectively.9 carat gold scrap also increased by $ 3.23 per Oz. The price of Platinum scrap saw increase of $ 2.19 per Oz. Also, silver scrap prices were up by $ 0.36 per Oz to touch $ 12.48 per Oz.

A major green hydrogen project in South Africa has taken another key step forward. Hive Hydrogen South Africa announced on September 15 that it has formally awarded the front-end engineering design (FEED) contract for its approximately USD 5.8 billion green hydrogen and green ammonia project to Spanish engineering firm Técnicas Reunidas. The project, now in the late development stage, is regarded as a flagship green hydrogen initiative in South Africa and one of the key demonstration projects under the European Union’s Global Gateway programme in the country.
