Shandong Laigang to Undertake Near 4-Month Maintenance at Blast Furnace in September, SMM Reports

Shandong Laigang will start maintenance at 1,880 m3 blast furnace September 20, which will last for 110 days.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 4 (SMM) - Shandong Laigang will start maintenance at 1,880 m3 blast furnace September 20, which will last for 110 days, SMM reports.

Higher Profit Stimulates Hot-Rolled Coil Production, China Deepens “Ditiao Steel” Elimination Inspections

The maintenance will affect about 4,500 tonnes of production.

2021 saw concentrated blast furnace capacity upgrade programs in 2021. According to the plans issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology by end of 2020, the scheduled blast furnace capacity commissioning and retirement in 2021 should have been 97.53 million mt and 103.86 million mt respectively.
