One stainless steel mill in north China announced to raise procurement price of high-grade NPI by 110 yuan per mtu for August on a monthly basis, Shanghai Metals Market learns. 

SHANGHAI, Aug. 1 (SMM) – One stainless steel mill in north China announced to raise procurement price of high-grade NPI by 110 yuan per mtu for August on a monthly basis, Shanghai Metals Market learns. 

High-grade NPI Surges and Supply Elasticity to Miss Expectations, SMM Foresees

The purchase price, set on a tiered-basis, will be 900 yuan per tonne for supplying volumes at 5,000 tonnes and above, and 910 yuan per tonne for supplying volumes at 10,000 tonnes and above, according to SMM sources. 

Last week, high-grade NPI price surged with market fundamentals improving, SMM data showed.
