Titanium reserves in Panzhihua account for 90.5% of overall reserves in China at present, and some capacities in the region have suspended production in response to high pressure from environmental protection inspections.

All chemical enterprises in Panzhihua Vanadium & Titanium Industrial Park shut down, and about 36 of titanium concentrate producers in Liushapo Industrial Park, which fails meeting environmental standards, will be pulled down by late July.
Rigorous environmental checks also restrict raw ore transportation at large traders, and small and medium traders hold back sales, and some even stop making offers.
