SHFE 1709 nickel opened at RMB 78,030/mt today, and then fell to RMB 77,550/mt.

SHANGHAI, Jul. 24 (SMM) – SHFE 1709 nickel opened at RMB 78,030/mt today, and then fell to RMB 77,550/mt. In the afternoon, SHFE 1709 nickel rose and reached RMB 79,150/mt, and closed at RMB 78,950/mt, up RMB 710mt or 0.91%. Trading volumes on SHFE 1709 nickel increased 25,900 to 430,000, and positions decreased 2,148 to 438,000. SHFE nickel is expected to hover at highs this evening. US exising home sales in June will be released this evening.

[SMM Nickel Flash] The SMM average price of 10-12% high-grade NPI fell 17.2 yuan/mtu WoW to 1,035.8 yuan/mtu (ex-factory, tax included), while the Indonesia NPI FOB index average price dropped 2.06 $/mtu WoW to 131.2 $/mtu.
