SHANGHAI, Jul. 17 (SMM) – China’s crude steel production was 73.23 million tonnes in June, a new record high, according to China’s National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
China Rebar Stocks Grow Much Faster than Hot-Rolled Steel, SMM Says
The production of crude steel in June was up 1.3 per cent and up 5.4 per cent on a monthly and yearly basis, according to NBS.
In June, China produced 61.68 million tonnes of pig Iron, down 0.1 per cent MoM, and up 3.2 per cent YoY. Meanwhile, China’s finished steel production was 97.57 million tonnes, up 1.9 per cent MoM, and down 3.1 per cent YoY.
