EU Commission to investigate imports of low Carbon Ferrochrome from China, Russia, Turkey

An anti dumping investigation was launched against the imports of low Carbon Ferrochrome developing in China, Russia and Turkey by the European Commission.

LONDON (Scrap Register): An anti dumping investigation was launched against the imports of low Carbon Ferrochrome developing in China, Russia and Turkey by the European Commission.

The association of European ferroalloy producers, Euroalliages had filed a complaint regarding the sole European Union producer of low-carbon ferrochrome which lead to the launch of investigation by the European Commission.

The complainant "has provided evidence that imports of the product under investigation from the countries concerned have increased overall in absolute terms and in terms of market share," As per the European Commission.

The investigation will be started with the activities that was held during the period of April 1, 2016 to Match 31 2017, while the examination of trends relevant for the assessment of injury will cover the period from January 1, 2014, to the end of the investigation period.
