SHFE 1708 zinc opened at RMB 22,015/mt today and then fell to RMB 21,970/mt.

SHANGHAI, Jun. 27 (SMM) – SHFE 1708 zinc opened at RMB 22,015/mt today and then fell to RMB 21,970/mt. In the afternoon, SHFE zinc was boosted by ferrous metals, and closed at RMB 22,455/mt, up RMB 440/mt or 2.0%.

Trading volumes on SHFE 1708 zinc decreased 28,716 to 526,000 lots, and positions added 4,912 to 267,000. SHFE 1708 zinc will look for support from RMB 22,500/mt this evening.

Tata Steel and Hindustan Zinc announced on Monday, 25 March 2026, a partnership to incorporate EcoZen, a sustainable and environmentally friendly steel production solution, producing low carbon-zinc.
