WBMS: Global Nickel Market Faces Supply Shortage in January-April 2017

Global nickel market was in a shortage of 35,300 tonnes during the first four months of 2017, according to the World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS).

SHANGHAI, Jun. 22 (SMM) – Global nickel market was in a shortage of 35,300 tonnes during the first four months of 2017, according to the World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS). 

What’s Price Outlook for Nickel Market for Rest of June? SMM Reports

The global nickel market reported a shortage of 62,000 tonnes in the whole year of 2016. 

By the end of April, LME nickel inventories were up by 7,100 tonnes from the level seen in late 2016. 

From January to April 2017, the global refined nickel output was 531,600 tonnes, compared with consumption of 566,800 tonnes.
