SHFE 1709 nickel opened at RMB 73,100/mt today, rising initially and then falling.

SHANGHAI, Jun. 5 (SMM) – SHFE 1709 nickel opened at RMB 73,100/mt today, rising initially and then falling. In the afternoon, SHFE 1709 nickel rose to RMB 73,660/mt, and closed at RMB 73,110/mt, up RMB 480/mt or 0.66%. Trading volumes on SHFE 1709 nickel increased 1,522 to 367,000, and positions decreased 23,100 to 537,000. SHFE nickel is expected to strengthen this evening. US durable goods orders in April due for release this evening are expected to top March’s.
