Many lead-acid battery producers plan to expand production in June as improving demand and rising lead price ease market pessimistic outlook.

SHANGHAI, Jun. 2 (SMM) – Many lead-acid battery producers plan to expand production in June as improving demand and rising lead price ease market pessimistic outlook, SMM learns.

SMM survey finds that 6 in 10 producers plan to increase output by 10-30%, while another 4 producers will hold production condition unchanged.

Downstream distributors, expecting battery prices to rise further, increase purchases after leading motive battery producers announced to raise prices up. On the other hand, large battery producers will expand output to fulfill semi-annual production target.
