Peru's energy and mines minister announced the country will start three large copper mine projects in 2018 which are worth $7.27 billion, El Peruano reported.

SHANGHAI, May 15 (SMM) - Peru's energy and mines minister announced the country will start three large copper mine projects in 2018 which are worth $7.27 billion, El Peruano reported.

The three mines are Quellaveco, Justa and Michiquillay.

Peru mining activities plan accounts for 6% of world’s total at present, the highest of Latin America, the minister emphasized.
