SHANGHAI, May 3 (SMM) - Zinc slag coefficient in North China rose to 90% after hovering around 88% over the past few weeks and will unlikely fall in the near term, SMM said.
Zinc slag supplies tightened in North China. Production at local galvanizers was impacted after China stepped up environmental protection inspections.
Zinc oxide plants will thus face high raw material cost.
