China closed all galvanizers in Bazhou City, Hebei Province for environmental protection assessment from April 20, SMM reported.

SHANGHAI, May. 2 (SMM) – China closed all galvanizers in Bazhou City, Hebei Province for environmental protection assessment from April 20, SMM reported.

None of these galvanizers are allowed to produce unless they meet relevant requirements.

The environmental protection assessment will last for one month. About 10,000 tonnes per month of local zinc consumption will be affected.
