SHANGHAI, May 3 (SMM) – Rumors heard that Jiangsu Delong Nickel Industry will restart its stainless steel production in the near term.
The to-be-restarted capacity was rumored to be #300 stainless steel, with capacity of 2 million tonnes.
The company shut down the production line last December for failing to pass environmental protection inspections. Earlier, it was heard that the company planned to put online the line this April, but delayed the restart after being tipped-off.
The project was commissioned in late November, 2015, and utilization rates were around 80 percent before the shutdown.
Recently, some domestic stainless steel mills announced cut plans amid the sluggish market.
SMM will follow up its development.
