Zinc Inventories Fall in China Major Markets, SMM Reports

Combined zinc inventories in Shanghai, Tianjin and Guangdong decreased 32,100 to 168,100 tonnes last week, SMM data show.

SHANGHAI, May. 2 (SMM) – Combined zinc inventories in Shanghai, Tianjin and Guangdong decreased 32,100 to 168,100 tonnes last week, SMM data show.

Zinc inventories in Shanghai and Guangdong saw further big declines.

Fewer arriving shipments combined with steady downstream demand caused inventories to fall further, SMM said.

Total inventories in the three regions are expected to continue falling this week due to pickup in demand from some downstream sectors.
