Antam began construction of P3FH in East Halmahera, North Maluku, Indonesia on Apr. 25.

SHANGHAI, Apr. 27 (SMM) – Antam began construction of P3FH in East Halmahera, North Maluku, Indonesia on Apr. 25.

Tedy Badrujaman, president of Antam, said the project is designed to have an annual capacity of 13,500 tonnes (Ni content), which will bring the company’s total ferronickel capacity up to 40,500-43,500 tonnes (Ni content).

Construction of the project, to be equipped with power plants and other supporting facilities, is expected to be completed in late December 2018.
