China Cold Rolled Sheet production declines during Jan-Mar

Cold rolled steel production of China during March, this year was seen at 3.207 million metric tons, a decline 3.1 percent when compared to same period last year.

BEIJING (Scrap Register): Cold rolled steel production of China during March, this year was seen at 3.207 million metric tons, a decline 3.1 percent when compared to same period last year. During January-March period of the current year, the production was decreased by 3.8 percent to 8.402 million mt when compared to same period last year, according to National Bureau of Statistics.
Welded steel pipe production by China during March this year remained unchanged year on year to 5.835 million mt. While the production during January-March period, the production increased to 536 percent year in year to 14.744 million tons.
Wire rod production for the country decreased by about 5.3 percent to 11.721 million mt year on year. Wire rod production during January-March was 32.21 million mt, which decreased 1.6 percent year on year.
China's hot rolled strip production has increased by 12.5 percent during March this year to 12.513 million mt when compared to same period last year. During January-March Period the production was 35.953 million mt, an increase of 14 percent year on year.

The final outcome remains subject to the authorities’ determination.

JCC Hongyuan Copper's $200M Expansion Project Aims to Boost Capacity to 550,000 mt by 2027
The 300,000 mt/year copper cathode expansion project of JCC Hongyuan Copper, a subsidiary of Jiangxi Copper Corporation, entered the pre-approval public notice stage of its environmental impact assessment on September 4, with a total investment of approximately 1.416 billion yuan.
