SHANGHAI, Apr. 14 (SMM) – On Friday, SHFE 1709 nickel started at RMB 81,800/mt and then declined, hurt by positions opening by shorts. The contract later stabilized at lows and fluctuated narrowly. During the afternoon trading, SHFE 1709 nickel dropped to RMB 80,510/mt and then closed at RMB 80,680/mt, down RMB 1,270/mt or 1.55%. Trading volumes were down 6,426 to 441,000 lots and positions were up 28,000 to 470,000.
SHFE 1709 nickel will test support at the 60-day moving average on Friday’s night trading.
