Copper Ore Imports via Lianyungang Hit All-Time High during January-July

SHANGHAI, Aug. 9 (SMM) - Lianyungang Entry-Exit Inspection & Quarantine Bureau statistics show China’s copper ore and concentrate imports transit the Port of Lianyungang hit a record high of 714,500 tonnes in the first seven months of this year, which are worth $818 million, according to cnmn.com.

Of these imports, those from Chile, Peru and Mexico, the top three copper ore supplying countries to Lianyungang, were 198,800 tonnes, 120,800 tonnes and 99,100 tonnes, respectively, representing nearly 60% of the total.
