SHANGHAI, Jul. 27 (SMM) – Scrap copper producers in Henan have been required to shut down due to environmental protection factor, Shanghai Metals Market reports.

The shutdown in the region is mainly for the ongoing environmental drive, which requires local metal producers to substitute gas for coal in power generation.

At present, only Gongyi Xinchang Copper and Yanshi Yijia Metals are now under normal production, SMM survey finds.
