SHANGHAI, Jul. 8 (SMM) – Henan Yuguang Gold & Lead Co. plans to cut lead production by 30% in July-August, SMM understands.
The output cut is as lead prices and TCs continue falling and as concentrate supply tightens. The company will maintain daily output at 700 tonnes in July.
The company will conduct unit maintenance for its zinc production line in early August and about 6,000 tonnes of output will be negatively affected.
The company is domestic largest lead and zinc smelter, with annual capacity of 400,000 tonnes and 250,000 tonnes respectively.
