SHANGHAI, Jul. 8 (SMM) – Copper ore imports transit the Port of Lianyungang outpaced 500,000 tonnes so far in 2016, zgsyb.com reports.
A shipload of 11,000 tonnes of copper concentrate imported from Mexico arrived recently.
China’s demand for imported ore increased significantly now that domestic smart power grid and high-speed rail construction accelerate this year.
Copper ore imports via Lianyungang grew 26.78% year-on-year in the first five months of 2016.
