SHFE Copper Sees Losses (Mar. 15, 2016)

SHFE 1605 copper started at RMB 37,700/mt overnight and sank to RMB 37,230/mt, to end at RMB 37,410/mt.

SHANGHAI, Mar. 15 (SMM) –SHFE 1605 copper started at RMB 37,700/mt overnight and sank to RMB 37,230/mt, to end at RMB 37,410/mt, down RMB 360/mt.

The contract opened at RMB 37,390/mt on Tuesday and dipped to RMB 37,130/mt, to finally close the day at RMB 37,250/mt, a loss of RMB 520/mt or 1.38%. Positions were up 4,158.

SHFE 1605 copper will test support RMB 37,250/mt this evening.

Today was the last trading day for SHFE 1603 copper with closing price at RMB 36,980/mt and settlement price at RMB 36,940/mt, down RMB 470/mt. Positions fell 1,380 to 29,790 and a total of 74,475 mt of copper was delivered.
