SHANGHAI, Jan. 8 (SMM) - Prices of zinc slag (95%) in Tianjin, Shandong and Hebei stabilized at 10,500-11,300 yuan per tonne this week. Especially low-lead zinc slag stayed firm, despite falling zinc prices.

Cargo holders held onto their goods on lower zinc prices, and some zinc oxide plants replenished stocks ahead of the Chinese New Year holiday.

Prices of indirect zinc oxide fell 300 yuan to 13,200-13,600 yuan per tonne. Orders from ceramic, pharmaceutical and coating sectors softened, constraining production at zinc oxide producers.
