ALBANY (Scrap Monster): The US H1 scrap price average prices were at $150.17 per long ton, as on 14th December, 2015. The prices remained edged higher marginally by $1.67 per long ton when compared with the previous week. The scrap prices had averaged at $148.50 per long ton during the week prior to this.
The average price of US H1 scrap in Pittsburgh, Chicago and Philadelphia was $150.17 per long ton, rising by $1.67 per long ton. The scrap prices had averaged at $148.50 during the week prior to this.
The H1 scrap average price in Pittsburg was $139.50 per long ton. The average price remained unchanged when compared with the previous week’s price. In Chicago the prices averaged at $152.50 per long ton. The prices here rose by $5 per long ton when matched with the previous week. The average price in Philadelphia was $158.50 per long ton. The prices here held steady when compared with the week before.
Meantime, the weekly crude steel output dropped modestly by 1.1% during the week from December 5th to December 5th. The output declined by 17,000 short tons to 1.536 million short tons during the week.
