SHFE Nickel Gains 3.74% on Short-Covering (Nov. 26, 2015)

SHFE 1601 nickel started at RMB 67,900/mt for night trading Wednesday and closed the session at RMB 69,400/mt.

SHANGHAI, Nov. 26 (SMM) – SHFE 1601 nickel started at RMB 67,900/mt for night trading Wednesday and closed the session at RMB 69,400/mt.

The most actively-traded contract opened Thursday trading session at RMB 69,250/mt and shot up to RMB 72,780/mt due to short-covering. However, the contract rolled back some gains, hurt by a stronger dollar and closed at RMB 70,800/mt, up by 3.74%. Trading volumes were up 674,000 to 1.87 million lots while positions dropped 11,356 to 367,000.
