High-grade NPI Prices to Fall, SMM Says

Prices of high-grade NPI are expected to fall for the foreseeable, Shanghai Metals Market foresees.

SHANGHAI, Nov. 23 (SMM) – Prices of high-grade NPI are expected to fall for the foreseeable, Shanghai Metals Market foresees. 

“After refined nickel prices tumbled, domestic stainless steel mills turn to buy refined nickel, reducing the already weak market,” SMM nickel analyst says.  

Last Friday, prices for Ni 10-15% were 680-690 yuan per mtu, (including tax, ex-works), down 57.5 yuan per mtu week-on-week, according to SMM data.
