SHFE Zinc Prices Closed with Gains (Nov. 20, 2015)

SHFE 1601 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 12,000/mt Thursday evening, then dipped to RMB 11,815/mt due to selling pressure, and closed at RMB 12,120/mt, down RMB 70/mt.

SHANGHAI, Nov. 20 (SMM) –SHFE 1601 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 12,000/mt Thursday evening, then dipped to RMB 11,815/mt due to selling pressure, and closed at RMB 12,120/mt, down RMB 70/mt. Trading volumes were 595,000 lots, and total positions soared 3,678 to 255,000.

SHFE 1601 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 12,120/mt on Friday, and stabilized at RMB 12,050/mt. In the afternoon, SHFE 1601 zinc contract prices pulled up, and closed at RMB 12,525/mt, up RMB 335/mt. Trading volumes increased 614,000 to 1.59 million lots. Total trading volumes on SHFE zinc exceeded 2 million lots, with positions of SHFE 1602 zinc contracts up 32,000.
