Main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange continues to drop to 728 points

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities continued to decline to 728 points on Thursday mainly on lower capesize, panamax and supramax rates.

LONDON (Scrap Register): The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities continued to decline to 728 points on Thursday mainly on lower capesize, panamax and supramax rates.

The overall index, which factors in average daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk transport vessels, down by another 8 points to 728 points on Wednesday.

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which tracks for ships carrying dry bulk commodities.
