Few Taiwanese mills were able to secure ISRI grade scrap at the prices they wanted, as suppliers looked to stay away from the Taiwanese market.

Japanese-origin scrap was again secured in high volumes whilst Russian material was also heard sold into the region at lower pricing than last week.

Domestic demand remains very poor, meaning mills simply can’t afford to pay what ISRI suppliers are looking for at present.
