SHANGHAI, Jun. 23 (SMM) – SHFE 1507 tin contract fell in the first half of last week, but rebounded last Thursday and Friday. July tin on the SHFE followed LME tin up to RMB 114,450/mt during Thursday’ night session.
In China’s spot tin market, traded prices fell to RMB 112,000-114,000/mt last Thursday from RMB 113,500-115,500/mt on June 12. The decline was due to lower SHFE tin prices and falling demand. However, traded prices rallied to RMB 112,500-114,500/mt last Friday, lifted by rising LME and SHFE tin prices last Thursday. Trading was decent last Thursday, but was thin for the rest of the week.
