SHANGHAI, Jun 8 (SMM) - Tianjin put a 50,000-set-per-year zinc air fuel battery project into production recently, China Nonferrous Metals News reported.

The project, with an investment of 330 million yuan, produces zinc air fuel batteries used in electric vehicles, mines, communication and large databases.

It is located in Tianjin’s Baodi Energy Conservation & Environmental Protection Model Industrial Park, with an area of 140,000 square meters, and included in key industrial projects of Tianjin.

Zinc air fuel batteries hold high safety, stable operating voltage and long service life, and have ready access to raw materials, which are recyclable.

The project also provides zinc paste injection service each year for battery reuse.
