A 300,000-tpy NPI project is expected to take a trial run in Naiman Banner, Inner Mongolia in mid July, local media reported.

SHANGHAI, Jun. 3 (SMM) – A 300,000-tpy NPI project is expected to take a trial run in Naiman Banner, Inner Mongolia in mid July, local media reported. 

The project is 2nd phase of a program, annually producing 500,000 tonnes of nickel, 58,000 tonnes of chrome, 80,000 tonnes of manganese smelting, all on metal basis, and 1.2 million tonnes of stainless steel and deep-processing products. 

The phase one of the whole program, invested by Macrolink Group, was put online in June 2013, with NPI daily output at 300 tonnes.
