Chinese Gold imports from Hong Kong hit 8-month low in April

China imported a total of 750 tons of gold from Hong Kong in 2014, down 32% from a record 1108.8 tons in 2013.

BEIJING (Bullion Street): China's gold imports from Hong Kong declined to an eight-month low in April, data showed on Thursday as demand for the precious metal eased amid robust equities.

Net gold imports from Hong Kong totalled 52.204 tons last month, as compared to 66.363 tons in March and 65.4 tons a year ago, according to latest data from the Hong Kong Census and Statistics Department.
