Main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange drops further to 584 points

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities dropped further for the eighth day in a raw on Tuesday on lower capesize and panamax rates.

LONDON (Scrap Register): The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities dropped further for the eighth day in a raw on Tuesday on lower capesize and panamax rates.

The overall index, which factors in average daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk transport vessels, down by another 2 points to 584 points on Tuesday.

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which tracks for ships carrying dry bulk commodities.
