Scrap Gold, Silver and Platinum rallies on Index May 13, 2015

The daily scrap gold prices - hallmarked and non- hallmarked rallied on Wednesday, 13th May, 2015 on the ScrapMonster Price Index.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The daily scrap gold prices - hallmarked and non- hallmarked rallied on Wednesday, 13th May, 2015 on the ScrapMonster Price Index. The prices of scrap silver and Platinum too climbed higher on Index.

In the Hallmarked category, the 14 carat gold scrap prices were up by $ 4.85 per Oz. The prices of 18 carat and 22 carat gold scrap went higher by $ 6.22 and $ 7.60 per Oz respectively.9 carat gold scrap also edged higher by $ 3.11 per Oz. The price of Platinum scrap witnessed a jump of $ 1.46 per Oz to reach $ 826.82 per Oz. Silver scrap prices were marginally higher by $ 0.15 per Oz.

In the Non-Hallmarked category, the 14 carat gold scrap prices went higher by $ 4.59 per Oz. The prices of 18 carat and 22 carat gold scrap too went up by $ 5.88 and $ 7.19 per Oz respectively.9 carat gold scrap also increased by $ 2.94 per Oz. The price of Platinum scrap increased by $ 1.46 per Oz. Also, silver scrap prices were up by $ 0.14 per Oz to touch $ 12.16 per Oz.

Doosan Invests $701.5M to Expand CCL Production in Korea and China Through 2028
Doosan Group said on September 17 that it will invest approximately KRW 968.4 billion (about USD 701.5 million) to expand high-end copper-clad laminate (CCL) production in South Korea and China. Roughly KRW 421 billion will expand domestic CCL lines for optical modules, while about KRW 547.4 billion will build a new plant in Changshu, China, for AI accelerators and network switches via wholly-owned Doosan Electro-Materials Changshu, with an additional KRW 182.4 billion capital injection. The three-year investment runs through 2028, with new lines scheduled to begin operations in the second half of 2028. In H1 2026, utilization at Doosan's Jeungpyeong and Gimcheon plants reached 109.8% and 102.7%, respectively, while the China plant ran at 92.2%. Q2 2026 optical-module CCL sales jumped more than tenfold year-on-year to about KRW 50 billion, and network-board CCL sales reached KRW 369.2 billion, accounting for more than half of the Electronics Business Group's revenue.
