The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities advanced further to above 600 points on Tuesday due to higher capesize rates.

LONDON (Scrap Register): The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities advanced further to above 600 points on Tuesday due to higher capesize rates.
 
The overall index, which factors in average daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk transport vessels, rose by another 3 points to 600 points on Tuesday.
 
The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which tracks for ships carrying dry bulk commodities.
