Russian Nickel May Become Deliverable Brand in Shanghai Futures Exchange

SHANGHAI, Apr. 20 (SMM) – Russian nickel will likely become deliverable brand in Shanghai Futures Exchange, an official from the Exchange said. 

“Russian nickel will likely become one of them after working out the issues like standards,” the official noted. 

Shanghai Futures Exchange now has 6 deliverable nickel brands, and the number will increase, the official said at SMM Nickel Summit held on Apr. 17-18.  

Glencore’s nickel will also likely be delivered on Shanghai’s exchange, the official added.
